Pulau Tabuan (Duiven Island)

Indonesia

The lighthouse is on an island marking the west side of the northern entrance to the Bali Strait at the eastern end of the island of Java. The light was first established in 1871 though the optic is noted as in production at Chance Brothers Factory in Smethwick near Birmingham in 1868 and is noted as being produced for Duiven Island.
The only information regarding this lighthouse is that it was a skeletal tower with lantern and gallery.
I presume this was a cast iron structure and may have been taken out in kit form by either British or Dutch manufacturers as both countries used this method.
The original lighthouse has now been replaced with a round fibre glass tower.
