We’re hiring: Community Engagement Manager
CHT urgently seeks a dynamic manager with local knowledge to drive the Trust’s community engagement activities. This pivotal role involves thoroughly understanding community needs and forging strong relationships with community groups, delivery partners, and funding agencies to unlock collaborative opportunities for collaboration to meet those needs.
About the role
You would lead our community engagement work: developing and organising cultural conversations, partnerships and events both face to face and online, building our archive of former Chance Brothers employees’ stories, creating community fundraising initiatives, and managing our social media and external communications. An early priority will be developing a programme of activity around the Old School House, the 1845 building we took a lease on in April.
The details
- Salary: £23,351 (pro rata, based on £36,000 per annum, depending on experience), plus a group stakeholder pension scheme
- Hours: 24 hours a week, 3 days
- Contract: Fixed term for 18 months, with potential for extension subject to funding
- Location: Mostly on the ground in Smethwick and Sandwell, with travel and some home working
- Leave: 17 days a year (3 of which may need to be taken over Christmas and New Year)
