Malaysia
The lighthouse was established in 1897 and described in 1904 as a white wooden pyramid.
The lighthouse is situated on the western side of the island which is just off the coast and the entrance to Labuan Harbour
The first lighthouse was superseded by an 18 metre hexagonal steel skeletal tower with a gallery, lantern and enclosed watch room. There is no exact date for this though it was most likely built to house the 4th order optic supplied by Chance Brothers of Smethwick near Birmingham.
The most recent lighthouse became active in 2007 so this is presumably when the Chance lens was decommissioned.
The lantern has now been removed but the rest of the tower still remains and is to be retained as a historic building.
