Nieuwe Sluis (Breskens) Lighthouse

The lighthouse was built near Nieuwesluis, a few miles west of Breskens in the Dutch province of Zeeland and is the most southerly in the country.
It was designed by Dutch architect Quirnius Harder and is now the oldest existing cast iron tower in the Netherlands.
The lighthouse was decommissioned in 2011 but has since been completely renovated and is now open to visitors.

Lighthouse Markings A cast iron tower 22.4 metres high with balcony, lantern and cupola. The tower is painted black with two white bands, the lantern and cupola are both white.
