South Sand Bluff

The lighthouse was built in 1931 with a 17.7 m lattice tower painted white, replaced with the current tower in 1931. The original lantern was a 500 mm AGA acetylene gas lantern, replaced in 1982 with a Stone-Chance Power Beacon Mark III DC. This was replaced in 2005 with a 178.5 mm VEGA VRB-25 rotating beacon with 20 watt, 12 volt lamps.
