Puerto Cortes (Punta Caballos)

Honduras

The lighthouse was built at the west end of the peninsula sheltering the harbour of Puerto Cortes which is situated approximately 8km north of the city itself.
The original lighthouse from 1898 is described as a tall spidery skeletal tower with 4 internal ladders reaching to a platform with a lantern.
This has now been superceded by the newer light but I have been unable to find any information as to when this took place.
