Hartlepool Old Pier Lighthouse

United Kingdom

I have been able to find very little information regarding this lighthouse. The optic appears in Chance's records in 1898 as Hartle Poole. It is situated on what was once known as the old pier at the entrance to the harbour. This pier is now known as the Pilot Pier and there are several viewing points on the harbour area where the lighthouse can be viewed.
I have been unable to find if the original Chance optic has been removed so have made the assumption it is still in situ.
