Casquets Lighthouse
United Kingdom. Channel Islands
A light has marked the Casquets rocks off Alderney since 1724. A first-order dioptric group-flashing optic by Chance Brothers was installed in 1877; the station is now automated by Trinity House. The 1877 first-order Chance optic is recorded here as the historical Chance apparatus; the present working optic is a later Trinity House second-order 700 mm five-panel rotating optic.
