Condition Observations Lighthouse is located on the western tip of Burrows Island. Up until the Schooner Society obtained ownership of the plot from the US Coast Guard in 2010, the lighthouse was in extreme disrepair. Since then it is nearing complete restoration with hopes of the housing area becoming open to the public. Work is still being done on public access to the lighthouse as the approaches ae extremely high and rocky, or are very thick with trees and vegitation.
