International Women’s Day Celebration at Smethwick Library
Chance Heritage Trust and Smethwick Archives warmly invite you to join us for a special International Women’s Day Celebration at Smethwick Library on
Wednesday 4th March
Launch 12:30pm
Our event will run from 11 am – 4 pm. We would love to invite you to our 12.30 pm launch or to come over during the day.
We are proud to showcase the incredible women who worked at Chance Brothers, sharing their fascinating stories and artefacts uncovered through the Illuminating Chance project. Highlights include AI recreations of vintage photographs bringing their work to life, alongside a special mini exhibition
We are also celebrating inspiring local women, with local photographer Rebecca offering complimentary portrait photographs during the event.
In the spirit of the day, we will be raising donations for Black Country Women’s Aid, a local charity very close to our hearts.
The event will also shine a spotlight on our fantastic volunteers who support both Chance Heritage Trust and Smethwick Archives in documenting, celebrating, and advancing our shared mission.
