Chance Heritage Trust has been awarded funding to look at development opportunities for Soho Foundry, Smethwick in the West Midlands. The Foundry is a Grade 2* Listed, Scheduled Monument, which sits within the Galton Valley Conservation Area; part of the Black Country Unesco GeoPark.
The site is a testament to the partnership of pioneers Matthew Boulton and James Watt with huge significance to the industrial heritage of the area. To ensure a future for the site we are requiring an architect lead design team to develop a conceptual design and feasibility report, highlighting potential future options for this unique heritage asset.

The deadline for tender applications is 12 noon on Friday 18th March 2022.

Further details, including scope and submission, can be found in the following tender document.
